Works with my phone, my iPad mini, and my Macbook, and a Windows laptop! Defaulted to mirroring the display, although the laptops both supported extending and were able to read the correct resolution for the display.
The picture from the iPad looked slightly squashed; everything else maintained the correct aspect ratio when mirroring.
The cable is thin at about 4mm diameter, and fairly flexible. It's long enough for most use-cases.
The VGA housing is fairly chunky at 33.7 x 14.6 x 41.2mm (or 64.0mm including the screws) - I'm guessing that it houses the electronics. It also has a decent amount of strain relief for the cable.
The USB-C housing is smaller at 12.0 x 6.5 x 26.9mm, and has only a modest bit of strain relief. It's small enough to fit in the hole in my phone case, but YMMV.
It's worth calling out that this cable cannot charge the connected device, so if it's something like a phone with only a single USB-C port, it will have to run on battery while using this cable.
Overall I'm very happy with it.
