Works with Android and Raspberry Pi

I bought this to connect a Raspberry Pi to my AI41 speakers via toslink and it works perfectly. I set it to be the default output for alsa, installed shareport-sync for AirPlay from my wife's iPhone, Plexamp running in headless mode for myself, and now we can both play audio from our phones without having to fuss with bluetooth.

When I first opened it, since it came with the USB-C adapter, I plugged it into my android phone to test it out. It immediately worked, both with analog headphones and via the included optical cable to my speakers.

It seems solidly built and does exactly what I need. And it even includes all the cables and adapters at $13 when most of the more expensive alternatives don't! I'm very happy with my purchase.

The one thing I haven't figured out is if I can control the speaker volume over SPDIF. The speakers support "absolute volume" over bluetooth, where changing the volume on my phone actually changes it on the speakers, and my soundbar similarly supports HDMI CEC where the TV remote controls it's volume, but I'm not sure if that's even an option on an optical connection. (I tried connecting the Pi over bluetooth, but that had it's own problems, which is what lead me to this.)
