I tried this out after having trouble with the LightingEVER 4W bulb and having to send it back because it flickered when dimmed. Reading some of the other reviews here, I was hopeful that this bulb would work better, but it seems to have the same problem.
I my stove hood, there is a 3-way light switch for off/medium/full brightness. This bulb works great at full brightness but has an annoying flicker on the medium setting. (It's a stainless steel "Broan" stove hood that exhausts air through the roof if that helps anyone.)
I'm going back to regular energy-sucking halogen lights for now. Hopefully by the next time a bulb burns out, someone will have come up with a design that handles these dimmer switches properly.
