This book did not deliver what I thought was promised and is also very, very long. It is beautifully written and the narrators do their job well. I was just expecting a lot more for the time investment. The moral seems to be hurt people hurt people or in this case hurt vampires. Even if they are lesbians and even if they come from another time, toxic patterns repeat themselves.

Also after doing some reading I prefer the ending of the ARC that leaves the impression Alice might break the pattern instead of live into it.
