I’m usually a really big fan of Chloe’s writing, but this book was not quite what I had hoped it would be. I dragged my feet finishing it and almost didn’t. It all felt a little too hard for me to believe. The shuffled timeline didn’t help.
Not that it wasn’t good, it just wasn’t great and left me feeling wishy-washy about it. It didn’t land. It didn’t feel believable. I’m not going to spoil anything but I didn’t love the side story with Lauren either. I loved their friendship but not the added dinner. I mean, maybe it made sense, but it left me asking why and felt distracting to the main plot.
Edit: I’m still thinking about this book. I liked the main love story.
