I can understand why others like this book, and I can understand why yet others don’t like this book.
I’m really tired of writers of literary fiction always throwing in the very nearly cheating husband into what is supposed to be a love story. I’m not a fan. I’m also not a fan of the philandering the couple has as a son.
I did appreciate the way in which it was written. The writing was very beautiful. I found it interesting the backdrop of their story being Central Park and the way in which that was done. The book made me thinking a great deal about creativity, connection, relationship, health, motherhood, personhood, and how to live a life. I will be thinking about this book long after I have finished it.
