This book is a wonderful resource. It is not without its sadness. Miscarriage, pregnancy loss, TFMR, and still birth are hard topics to talk about but they should be talked about. The fact that most women don’t know about all the varied ways in which a pregnancy can go wrong until it actually does for them is incredibly sad. No one wants to be part of this club but once initiated very often the individuals eyes are open to just how many birthing people have experienced this kind of loss. I can only imagine how different I myself would have felt when I miscarried early but ended up in the ER because my body had trouble passing all the tissue. My early loss has very much informed my support of every woman’s right to have the care they choose.
