Lots of New York Rom-Com vibes. Extra points for all the Moonstruck references, and what felt like While You Were Sleeping vibes. I loved this and hated it too. I’ve enjoyed all the other Josie Silver books I’ve read but this one felt almost too sad/bittersweet for me. I felt like the Santo and Vivian storyline pushed the entire story into so overwhelming sad I almost didn’t want to finish the book, but finish I did. Was it worth it? I guess so, but this is not for those looking for happy holiday read.
Done well I think this would make an excellent movie.
