I left this one on my TBR for too long. I loved that I felt drawn in from the moment I started the audiobook. Perfection for an October read. Gothic and dreamy even if some of those dreams are nightmares.
The vibes to me are much closer to the Return to Oz or The Princess and the Goblin in my opinion but I’m not a big fan of Alice and Wonderland. I also feel there was a small nod to the folktales of the enslaved but I didn’t feel certain. I liked the books wish there was more.
