This book thoughtfully captures the precarious nature of living when you know you are dying. Having lost my mother to cancer in my 28th year of life I still struggle with how to talk about the last 7 months of her life. Tears sprang to my eyes when in the epilogue his wife describes missing Paul while he is still there. This has been my experience.
I don’t have any idea how to rate this. In our very death averse culture/society this book feels like a step in the right direction of at least broaching the subject in a dignified way.
