I love Rosie. I love Galway. I liked the slow burn and the pining. I wanted a happy ending, but something about this couple in this specific context and execution didn’t work for me. Everything felt very surface level and not much deeper. The sex and physical intimacy felt hollow and not real. (Of course she knows just how to do everything and feels so comfortable even after a sexual assault. 🙄 I don’t believe it.) I still don’t feel like I could ever clearly picture Angus. I think the greater part of this falls on the writing part but also in small part on the narrator. Even with duel narrators I expected to understand Angus more and I didn’t.
