Living within 5 miles of a small airport has it’s perks. I’m not sure who was more excited to stop or @nfriedly. 😁 Make sure you swipe through to the last one it’s my personal fave
The boys will probably do pizza tonight because it’s family movie night, but I will be enjoying this boneless leg of lamb roast I just put in the crock pot. Later I will roast some carrots and parsnips and rosemary and fill out the meal with a salad. Whenever I cook a roast I’m sort of flying by the tails of my apron strings, but if I had one piece of advice about roasts in general make sure you brown them first. It adds so much flavor. I’ve never regretted doing it. Today I took the thawed roast out of the fridge to let it warm up a bit while I prepared the rub of salt, pepper, garlic, rosemary, and thyme. Then I got my skillet hot and browned the roast. After giving it about 3-5 minutes a side. I placed the roast in the crock pot to let it cool so I could add the rub. I added the rub once it was okay to touch. Quartered an onion and threw it in the crock pot. Added a half a cup of bone broth. Put the lid on the crock pot and turned it on to low. It will likely cook for about 4-6 hours.
I can post longer videos here so here is my video of my first encounter with the deer this morning. This was a momma with two babies. One I only caught a glimpse of before it ran off. The mama however was not afraid of a silly human like me
Today was deer day on my walk at the Nature Preserve! 🦌 I saw 6 all together! I will post some videos in stories later. 😁
It’s been a not so fun day over here has some kind of stomach bug and puked as we were literally on our way out the door to school. 😣 So we’ve been home all day. Swipe left to see the growing baby bump with inside. I’m at 26 weeks. Less than 100 days left! 😆🤰🏻 As for the first picture that is little man reading one of the many library books I’m thankful that I requested last week without knowing he’d be sick. I picked up at least 10 of the 26 library books that requested because they came in today. I picked them up while @nfriedly watched the little guy and I feel as if I’ve become quite the book matchmaker for our little guy. We are really enjoying the Otis books by Loren Long and quite a few that are illustrated by Will Hillenbrand. Sneeze, Big Bear, Sneeze is such a cute tale about fall. I think it will eventually be one we own.
Tomorrow needs you. As a suicide attempt survivor I’m thankful almost everyday that I didn’t succeed. However I know what the darkness looks like and in that darkness I couldn’t see the light of what my life is like today
If someone could just make this for an adult woman in a plus size I’d be grateful forever and wear it until it fell apart. Why do kids get all the fun clothes? #🌈
We’ve had quite the day. I went in for another ultrasound and got to see that little miss is doing just fine. Then I came home to the chaos of someone’s lost glasses which with some help from me and Little Nathan’s incredible retrieval skills were returned to their rightful place. We went out to lunch and then the library as a reward. I love that I have a little man who adores his library time. He plays with their puzzles and toy trains but also picks out his own books with some help from me. Most days I’m very blessed and aware of what an incredible privilege is it to be this little boy’s mama
When the seasonal gel clings are $.50 or less we embrace that summer isn’t quite finished and we decorate our windows with beautiful gardens

We’re at 22 weeks and we hadn’t taken any belly photos. We are all excited about baby girl who is already quite active for 22 weeks
This deliciousness is brought to you by Cristina over at @thecastawaykitchen Her @madewholecookbook is not messing around. This is her Spinach Alfredo Chicken Bake served over zoodles, and the cauliflower alfredo is perfect
All of our gender neutral baby clothes Newborn to 6 months have been gone through and are freshly laundered. I’m talking myself down from starting the 6-12 month tub. Now I can add to the tub as I see fit. I filled a bag with items to sell or donate. It’s so hard to believe my little guy was ever that little. Watching videos of him yesterday brought so much joy to my heart. My favorite stage is NOT the newborn stage, but I hadn’t remembered how sweet watching him crawl and walk and dance had been and the first babblings and laughs and smiles
Grandma Jackie sent the Tinkertoys Michael and I grew up playing with when we visited, home with and me. We’ve basically been playing with them since ever since. 😁 This morning we built a truck with a gun
